Hmmm it seems that Activision have scored a few big names to star in their latest Call of Duty title… none other than my favorite actor of all time, Mr. Gary Oldman.
The actor well known for portraying movie villains such as Dracula (Bram Stoker’s Dracula) and corrupt cop Agent Stansfield (Léon: The Professional) will be voicing a character during the Russian portion of the game according to Kotaku, reporting from the Leipzig Games Convention 2008.
Alongside Oldman, Keifer “Jack Baur” Sutherland also stars in the game, voicing Sgt. Roebuck.
You can view the trailer for Call of Duty: World at War after the jump.

Some good news this morning from the folks over at Firstshowing.net - Guillermo Del Toro and Peter Jackson have said they will write the screenplay for The Hobbit & its follow-up themselves (with Fran Walsh & Philippa Boyens).
Jackson had previously said that he would not be writing any of the Hobbit movies due to his prior commitments, but happily he’s had a change of heart.
This turnaround came due to three reasons:
1) The filmmakers saw their schedules open up.
2) During the general discussions about the films, they realized how much affection they had for the material.
3) They also realized that in order to make the release dates, the process required people intimate with Tolkien’s world of Middle Earth.
This is definitely great news, as the only fear I had with the Hobbit was a possible lapse in the attention to detail - with Jackson, Walsh and Boyens all writing with Del Toro, I can only see good things happening. :)
Now all we have to do is wait until 2011 for the movie to be released!

The Street Fighter games have long been a staple of my gaming diet - I’ve played and owned every game in the series (yes, including the semi-dodgy pair of 3D SF Ex games)… and my favorite character is Akuma… his versatility and pure brutality in his fighting style makes him awesome to watch and play.
Anyway, he’s been revealed as a secret character in the brand-spanking new arcade (and soon to be console) Street Fighter 4… and I’ve got the first screenshots and footage of him right here for your enjoyment.
Feast your eyes on these new images, courtesy of C&VG.com. More pics and the video are after the jump. :)

Heroes is one of my favorite TV series right now, despite the fact its not been on for a fair while thanks to the
writer’s strike.
However the Season 3 preview is up, and you can watch that after the jump (purposefully done so that anyone that hasn’t seen Seasons 1 and/or 2 yet don’t get anything spoilt for them). Enjoy!
