I keep seeing these blogs with their top 10 Firefox extensions, and I always wonder why there are certain ones missing that I consider absolutely indispensibile… so I thought I’d write my own list.
I’m a techie, but I don’t do anything overly-complicated with Firefox at home, or work. I prettymuch just browse, email, blog etc… just like normal consumers… so thats who I’m going to write this list for.
Title: 300 Starring: Gerard Butler, Lena Heady, Dominic West, David Wenham, Rodrigo Santoro Director: Zack Snyder
Synopsis: Based upon Frank Miller’s graphic novel of the same name, 300 chronicles the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 B.C. The Spartans, lead by King Leonidas (Butler) face off against the invading hordes of the Persian Empire, lead by King Xerxes (Santoro).
Review: Awesome. Zack Snyder does the comicbook proud in this bloody, yet visually stunning battle movie. The choreography of the fight scenes is spectacular, with Spartan soldiers spinning and slicing limbs off here & there.
As far as the historical content is concerned, 300 is a glamorised and stretched version of the truth… but as long as you realise its based on a comic, and don’t scrutinize the history behind it too much, you’re going to enjoy this.
If you like gore, great fight choreography, a bit of nudity (who doesn’t?!) and visuals to make you drool… you’re gonna love 300.
Ok well if you’re a regular reader of my blog (which I doubt, cos no-one reads this!), then you might notice a little sticker up in the top left that changes when you refresh the page.

I’ve just found this game on del.icio.us, and I have to say I’m extremely impressed!
Its basically Pong, but uses fluid dynamics as a game mechanic. You spray plasma to direct the ball, or you can grab the ball and suck in plasma to create a shockwave.
The game looks great (have a look below), and plays well… download it and have a crack. ;)
My mate showed me a video of someone speed painting in photoshop, which ended up being totally amazing… However I spotted that it was in response to something called “Speed Painting with French Fries & Ketchup”… and I had to watch!
This is a great video I found a while back, and thought I’d blog about it… its basically the planets of our solar system to scale… then matched against a few larger stars.
